2D Workflow can be used as a great tool for delegating work to your staff and tracking the production of your FBA business and employees. Here are some best practices to help you prep faster, manage your staff better, and make you more productive.

I. Tracking Production

On the Dashboard tab, you’ll have access to an overview of your daily, weekly, and monthly production numbers. You’ll be able to see how many units and SKUs each team member and your business produced.

In the chart below, the orange bar represents the total number of units prepped. The bar next to it shows how many units each worker or prep-station produced, if you created sub-user accounts. Hovering over and clicking a bar provides a more detailed view.

II. Delegating Work

Here’s how 2D Workflow can help walk your preppers through the shipping process, eliminating costly mistakes and making prep times faster.

1. Create an FBA shipment (LTL or SPD), and find it on the Working Shipments tab.

2. When you first create a shipment, go down the list and review the products you added. Now would be an ideal time to add any special notes, messages or prep instructions in the Notes column. Remember, this is what your staff will see so be sure to relay whatever information you think is important about these particular products.

3. (Optional) If you are a warehouse with a bin system or have items in specific locations, now would be a good time to enter the location of these items in the loc column. This will tell your employees where to find these items.

Note: You can add notes and locations to a shipment in bulk, via file upload. To learn more, check out the full Working on Shipments section in the knowledge base.

4. With your shipment created and your custom instructions added, the next step in the process is simply telling your team which shipment you want them to work on.

Inside the shipment, the software will tell them which items need to be prepped, where to find them, and relay any prep guidance from Amazon and any special instructions from you. They can just go down the list SKU-by-SKU, following the workflow until all items are completed and you’re ready to ship.

Tip!: Share the videos and articles in the Working on Shipments section with your relevant staff so that they know what they’re doing. It would also help if you walked them through the process a few times so they can get the hang of it.
