2D Workflow gets information about the products in your inventory directly from Amazon, including which UPC/EAN codes are linked to which products and listings. It's what enables you to scan the manufacturer's barcode on an item and bring up that ASIN in 2D Workflow.
However, since Amazon sometimes makes mistakes, you may want to assign a product's UPC/EAN barcode to a different product listing that Amazon doesn't recognize. 2DWF gives you the option of linking any UPC/EAN code to any ASIN in your inventory.
What this will do is, anytime you scan this product's barcode, 2D Workflow will bring up the listing you attached it to. Keep reading for more info.
To add a custom UPC to an item:
1. Navigate to the Inventory tab.
2. Click the Upload in Bulk button next to the Create Draft Shipment button and select Download Template.
3. Open the downloaded file, and add any custom UPCs next to your corresponding items under the UPC column in the template.
4. Once you've filled out the template, return to the Inventory page and click Upload Shipment File.
5. Select the file from your computer and click the Upload button.
Completing this process will automatically attach your custom UPCs to each item. Whenever you pick up a scanner and scan an item, it will bring up the item you linked the UPC to.
