Important: Amazon Partnered Carrier shipments have a slightly different workflow than NON-Partnered shipments. Please check out both options below to familiarize yourself with each. |
I. SPD Shipments with a Partnered Carrier
1. Select the shipment you want to work on from the Working Shipments page.
2. Click the icon on the left-hand side of the screen located next to the Shipment ID to open your Shipments' Workflow.
3. Once inside the Working Shipment, you'll see all of the items that need to be prepped, packed, and shipped for this shipment.
| Tip!: Now is a good time to review the products in your shipment and add any custom notes or item locations to the Notes and loc columns. Notes are used to relay important messages about products to your staff, such as “3-PACK” or “Use Extra Tape!”. Item locations can tell your team where to find these products in your warehouse. |
| Tip!: You can also add notes and locations in bulk, by file upload. To learn more, click here. |
4. Select any item that you want to prep & pack, then click the Printer icon. You can select items from the list manually, use the search bar function, or scan the UPC/EAN barcode of any item from your shipment.
5. In the pop-up window, add the expiration date (if your product has one), and then confirm the number of item labels you wish to print. Next, press the Print Item Labels button.
6. Once you've labeled your items and packed them into boxes, click Next.
7. Enter how your items are packed by filling out the Units per box, Number of boxes, and the dimensions and weights. (i.e., Width, Length, Height, and Weight)
| Note: Clicking on the Add another box configuration button will allow you to enter various packing configurations. |
8. Click the Print Box Labels button to get your custom 2D/FBA box labels and complete your boxes.
9. After printing your box labels, you are returned back to the main shipment workflow. Here, you can see that the item you just packed has turned green and dropped to the bottom of the list. This means that all units for that SKU in your shipment are now complete.
10. You can see your completed boxes in the Box Content Menu on the right-hand side of the screen.
11. In some cases, you may want to put different products into the same box; this is called a Multi-SKU Box. To create a Multi-SKU Box, just click the Multi SKU Box button at the top right-hand side of the screen in the Shipment Workflow.
| Note: To learn more about creating Multi-SKU Boxes, click here. |
12. Click the purple Search icon to select which items you want to pack, or use a scanner to scan products while packing them.
13. Enter the quantities for each item by filling out the Units field. If using a scanner, each scan will add another unit to the box.
14. Add the expiration dates under the Expires field, as needed.
15. Once your multi-SKU box is full, click the Close Box and Print Box Label button.
16. Repeat the process, creating boxes for all the items in your shipment until you are done and ready to ship.
|
Important: When you're finished packing your shipment, you may sometimes have a difference between the number of units you added to the shipment, and the number of units that are actually packed. This can happen by being shorted some items from your supplier or accidentally damaging some during prep.
|
17. Click the Buy Shipping and Complete Shipment button.
| Note: If your shipment is set up to use a NON-Partnered Carrier, this button will instead say 'Send Info and Complete Shipment.' This is because the workflow is slightly different between partnered and non-partnered carriers. Click here to see the process for NON-Partnered SPD shipments. |
18. Click the Submit Box Information and Estimate Shipping Cost button.
| Important!: Do not click 'Submit' until you are done creating all your boxes. |
19. Confirm the Partnered Carrier Shipping Charges for your shipment by clicking the Accept Amazon Terms and Confirm Charges button.
20. You’ll now see your carrier labels. Click Print All to print them.
21. After printing your carrier labels, simply match them up to their corresponding boxes using the box numbers printed on the labels.
| Tip!: If using a handheld scanner, you can scan any one of your FBA box labels to print the corresponding carrier label for that box. |
22. The final step to complete your shipment is to mark it as shipped. To do that, head over the Working Shipments tab, and click the Mark as Shipped button to finalize your shipment.

18. Enter the tracking numbers for your boxes, select your carrier from the drop-down list, and then click Submit.
| Tip!: If you don't have tracking numbers just yet, you can still submit your information to Amazon to complete the shipment, and then just come back to this screen later to add your tracking numbers. Tip!: When dealing with lots of boxes, you can choose to enter your tracking numbers by file upload instead of manually entering them one-by-one. To upload your tracking numbers, click the purple upload button next to the 'Submit' button. |
19. The final step to complete your shipment is to mark is as shipped. To do that, head over the Working Shipments tab, and click the Mark as Shipped button to finalize your shipment.
